Kristi Moss

Mrs. Moss was appointed as the Finance Director in November 2022. She comes to the City with over 25 years of experience in local government finance. Over the course of her career she has held positions in all areas of finance at both county and city government. Starting as a Budget Analyst in Volusia County, she worked her way up the ranks to become the Director of Financial Services at Flagler County. She has also held key positions at the City of Daytona Beach and the City of Sanford.  

Kristi has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Over the years she has become and expert in managing large capital projects and is a Certified Finance Section Chief through FEMA. She is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the Florida Government Officers Association (FGFOA) and multiple finance committees.

Kristi is a native Floridan and raised her family in DeLand where she still lives with her husband Kevin.
